Halloween is tomorrow...yippieee....

I dont know how Tanner is going to react...this is the mask we bought him...I know it looks like it covers his mouth but it doesn't. There is even room for his binky if he so desires. Scott still has to draw on it. He really doesnt need the mask, but since the weather is warming up...yes you heard me right, warming up he probably wont wear the hood to his costume. Either way its okay, he'll be cute as always. I still have to figure out exactly how I'm doing my costume...Scott is so excited. I can't wait for Tanner to be old enough to get excited and pick out his own costume. I know, I know, one day I'm whining about him growing up too fast and now I'm saying I can't wait....go ahead and say it "Make up your mind woman!" I have to try and study tonight. Our teacher scheduled our test for Wed. not caring that some of us have kids we want to take out. So I have to get tomorrow's studying done today. Its going to be bit hard since my masked baby has been extremely clingy since I got home and no one but mommy can sooth him. When I got home he had only been awake 2 hours and he crawled up in my lap and went back to sleep. He took a 2 hour nap. Very unusual for my child. As you can see in this last picture he had been crying, and then getting into something he shouldn't be...the computer. He makes the funniest faces when he get's caught. In other Tanner news...I did mention the Chicken Noodle song a little while back didnt I? Well my sister sent it to me so I can play it for him, and yesterday I played it and it was saying"let it rain, and clear it out..." and my young 'un goes, "Let it rain...let it rain." Oh my. I can just see it now, he's going to learn the Chicken Noodle song before he learns his ABC's.

How I got paid

Well as I'm sure you all know, I 've been doing the PayPerPost thing for a little over a month now, and I am now getting paid. I've been checking my paypal account and there is money there. So far I've been paid about $50, and I still have another $63 coming to me. This is just awesome, I love how easy this is to do. And the extra money that's coming in, is so for Christmas shopping. I can shop online, and all I have to do to get paid is write on my blog. Which I do 3 or 4 times a day anyway so why not get paid for it. I'm telling you guys anyone wanting to make a few extra dolllars check out PayPerPost

The floor, the kid, and a pumpkin

Okay after I promised pictures a few days ago here it is, our new bathroom floor. Isn't it pretty. Scott finished it Friday. We put off painting until next week. I'm so glad we got this done. I swear it feel great to walk in there and not have to worry about falling through the floor. Sounds funny yes I know but its true. The floor was awful. Well my parents came down this weekend. Which is great like always. We went to the mall and out to eat. I offically started my Christmas shopping. I bought my first present. Wooo Whoooo!! ONLY 100 more to go. After shopping we went to dinner at Logan's SteakHouse. We had a good time. While we were at the mall they were having a birthday party at build a bear (can you imagin what that cost) and the big build a bear was there so Tanner got his picture made with it....kinda He wasnt too sure about him. I dont know why. He's not normally stand offish around things like this, but he was extra clingy yesterday. I think he knew Auntil Kristi was going home. He misses her when she's gone. He just doesnt quite understand yet that she only comes down to visit. We didnt really do too much of anything else. We had a pretty laid back weekend. We did rent some movies.....Monster House, Click, and An American Haunting...all three really good. I'm going to have to buy Click and An American Haunting. I love scary movies. Today mom, dad, and Kris left way before we woke up. They never want to wake us up so we dont get to say good bye, so I got up and cleaned, washed clothes, and talked to Beck for a little while. I finally woke Scott up and he carved out pumpkin we got at the pumpkin patch. We waited awhile because last year it rotted so fast it barely made it to Halloween. Scott loves to carve pumpkins. Halloween is his favorite "holiday" if you can call it that. He did an awesome job if I say so myself. Tanner kept trying to sit down with him and help him carve. He didn't understand that he couldnt help daddy. My little monster has been a awesome today. He has played, took a long nap and now he's watching his Disney Channel. After I finish this I'm going to sit down and color with him. We've realized we have to kind of control his crayon use. He gets one, and when he gives it back he can have another one...if we dont all the crayons go missing...I bought him another box yesterday. That make box 4. After this I give up. When we decided to move I see us finding 100s of crayons hidden in one spot. Or if we dont find them whoever buys our house will. Okay I'm off. Its almost dinner time and I'm going to spend some time with my little artist before I start studying again. Mid terms are coming up quick. Check back later, who knows I may post again...

Disappointed

So I wasn't sure if I was going to post about this or not, but I decided what the hell. Well I have been extremely tired this past week, so I was a couple days late so I took a pregnancy test. It came back positive. Yep. I was so excited this time. It was early in the morning so I didn't wake up Scott. When I got home from school I took another one and it said positive clear as day, so I told him. And he was happy. So happy in fact that he told all his friends at work. Well for some reason I took a 3rd test (a different brand) and it came back negative. I was like huh? So I took a 4th test...it came back negative. Now I was really like what the hell? So I went and had a blood test done, and guess what? I'm not pregnant. I couldn't believe it. I always heard false positives were rare. That you were more likely to get a false negative. The girls at the lab were baffled too. So the conclusion was that brand of test was defective. Which really sucks. I was so excited. So I'm not sure where that leaves us now. I don't know if we're going to start trying or just wait. Personally I want to try again...we'll we weren't really trying this time. I've been pretty down all day. I just have to remind myself that no matter what happens I have perfect little boy already, and that's all that matters.

22 months old...a day late.

We are another month closer to the big "2"! Oh my goodness. It seems time is just flying by. And it seems like he aged more than a month. If that makes any kind of sence? This past month we have had a vocabulary surge. I mean out of nowhere he is saying alsorts of things. He knows that cows "Moo" and birds "tweet". He can also say Nose, eyes, and mouth. I know this because I heard him point to them on his pumpkin and say it. (That little terd. I try so hard to get him to say it to me...and he says it to a pumpkin)
He loves to color. All the time. I have an artistic child. He loves to color on everything, especially himself. He knows what Mya is...he wont say her name but if he sees her he say "Kitty, kitty, kitty." He mimicks everything. I was snapping my fingers to a song and looked up and saw him trying to do it too. He loves to dance and sing. Of course he has not kind of rythm but he sure tries poor guy. There is this stupied song out called "Chicken Noodle Soup" and there is a little dance to it. Well my sister thought it would be funny to teach it to Tanner. SO know he walks around doing "let it rain, and wipe it out" if I could describe it for you I would....I will try to catch it on video. Its an annoying song, but he's too cute trying to do the dance. He's doing so much now it's hard for me to think. His favorite word is still "Mama" but he says it like a big boy now. He is such a joy to have around. He makes my days so much more bright. He wakes up in a good mood and he's ready to get up and dance. (as is our morning ritual. Clean butt, milk, and then dance...he wont eat until we dance). Its every morning. When everyone is asleep.
Which is exactly how I like it. (Sighs). I cant believe in 2 short months my baby is going to be a little man. While I'm excited about all the new stuff we can do together, and all the new things he will learn. I'm kinda depressed, because I know the days of "Awwww Moooom!" when I give him a hug or a kiss are coming soon. Sooner than I want. I want to enjoy this age just a bit longer. Where is kind of independant but still loves to cuddle with and gives me kisses. I feel like parents somehow get the short end of the stick during these first few years. Dont you agree?

Just for fun...

I dont know how many of you have ever been to NC from somewhere down south. But right at the border between SC and NC there is this place called South of the Border. Its a place to stop and rest. There are restraunts and rides, hotels. All sorts of stuff. Its a great place to get fire works.
Well from the second you get off of I-20 and on to I-95 there is a sign a mile. Sometimes every half a mile. They are all cute little stupied sayings...so on the way there Friday, I snapped some pics trying out my camera in a moving vehical.
This next one is my favorite. Since I missed the shot and only got half the sign...its suppose to say "Smash Hit" but as you can see, thats not what I caught... There you go, a little bit of sign fun. Hope you got a laugh out of it.

We're home.

We actually got home yesterday, but I havent had too much time to sit down and post. Our trip was quick and uneventful. My folks got some Tanner time and I got to rest. Then I had to get up today and clean. Scott's parents came and they we're working on the bathroom floor (I will post some pics tomorrow). But when they were working on the floor they ran out of tile. So tomorrow on my way home from school I have to stop and get some more. That guy at Lowes must not have known what he was talking about. I swear. We took all the measurements in and asked the flooring guy, and he said 1box should do it. SO to be safe we got a box and half. He must have really been off. Because we need a whole other box. But the floor looks really good so far. Next Friday we're going to paint it and we should be done. We'll I'm going to study. I have a test tomorrow

Our day, in pictures....

SO of course my day started with school. Where I had to take a test, (I got a B). I skipped my last class and went home. Then we went and got both of my guys hair cuts.
Then we took Tanner to the pumpkin patch (thanks Mir) by the way mark your calenders, I probably wont post a picture with me in again for awhile...
This is the pumpkin Tanner picked, after looking at them all for 30 mins. One picture he actually sat still for. He ran all over that pumpkin patch the whole time we were there. It was really hard to get pics of him.
Then we decided to take Toot to Chuck E. Cheese. The last time we went he didnt really enjoy it. There were to many people but he loved it this time. We found out that he love Wack-a-Mole. I think he played it like 10 times. We might have invest in it for Christmas. Here he is, taking a break and grubbin' on some pizza. He had to get his energy up to play some more. After Chuck E. Cheese, we went to Barnes and Nobles to get my Medical Dictionary for class. Then we headed to my in laws. On the way this happened....
You can't really see it, but he is still holding the string to the balloon in his sleep. He was all tuckered out. He took an hour nap, and he went to bed at 10. So I should be able to sleep in. Woo Who!!

Washable my foot!!

Can I sue for false advertisement? I bought myself Crayola Washable Markers for school, and while I was studying someone got into them. Well as you can see they did not wash off. I have tried rubbing alcohol, soap (of course) and my little pouff. That stuff is there good. I probably should have sent him to my in laws while I study. I tend to zone out. I know, I know bad mommy. So any suggestions on how to get marker off my young 'un?

Flustered....

Agghhh!! Let me say how insane I think it is that NO ONE has this thing. I can not find one store in our area that has it. I cant find one online store that has it. Besides ebay where they are asking anywhere from 75$ to 800$. Are they crazy? How can a company like Fisher Price not make enough of these things? They knew it would be huge...hello. Make more, sell more? I was hoping to find one for Tanner for his birthday. He loves Elmo. He has the one that sings "Shout" he carries it all over the house with him. I'm at a loss of what to get my child. Not only for his birthday but for Christmas too. His grandparents are getting him all the cool stuff...I dont know. I dont want to wait until the last minute. Because the holiday season is creeping up fast. I want to be done by Thanksgiving if possible. Has anyone seen the Elmo's anywhere I might not have looked?

My 2 favorite men...see superbaby below

I dont blog about my husband enough. So I'm posting this picture which shows his silly personality. He bought me that cut out of Orlando Bloom from Lord of the Rings our first Christmas. Love it. So Tanner was playing with it (he figured out he can carry it around) and Scott took it and posed. And of course I had to take a picture. And then I told him I was going to post it on my blog, and he just laughed. He probably didnt think I was seriouse.

Hmmm...

I'm sitting here trying to decide if this is funny or if I should begin to worry. I was back here in the office reading my daily blogs, and Scott calls "Heather, come here hurry bring the camera!" and I get out to laundry room and what do I see? Yes, my child is in the dryer. You heard me in the dryer. Scott forgot to close it all the way when he got his clothes out. While it did make for cute pics, now I have to worry about gettting in there and hiding. I'm not sure he can close the door from the inside. I guess we will just have to make sure the laundry room doors are shut all the time. ..he does look cute though.LOL.

My blue eyed boy

Loving the new camera....this was taken last night and I didn't even have to touch it up. Look at how blue his eyes are. My little man is getting a cold. Poor thing. I think we all are. You can sure tell its Fall. I love fall, its my favorite season. But I was actually cold today when I got home from school. So much so that we turned on the heat for a little while. No joke. Oh yeah, I got my test grades back today. In Medical Assisting I got a B. I was kinda bummed about that. And in Medical Terminology I got an A. Not too bad. I have to work harder for the next test in MA though. I dont want anymore B's. Thank you to everyone who wished me luck.

So I've been playing with my new camera today, and I got this picture. I just love it and had to share. He looks so innocent even though he is really up to no good. He was climbing on the back of a chair to flick the light switch...

New floor

So hopefully these turn out right when I publish. So we've been in this house almost 4 years. But whoever built this house decided to put carpet in the bathrooms. Wall to wall. Yes thats right carpet. So needless to say after a major toliet leak the floors started to rot because the carpet and padding held in the moisture. Lovely for us. Well under the carpet there was a HUGE hole. But since we dont really use this bathroom we've put it off. But it does suck when we have guest...so long story short, we are putting new flooring. This is what was accomplished yesterday and today....my dad and Scott tore up all the old floor, they had to put in a lot of new support beams, because there were only like 3. (No joke). So next weekend, the tile goes down. Wooo Hooo....its taken a little longer than we thought, but its worth. I'm sure my parents and sister will be relieved that they dont have to worry about falling through the floor anymore. LOL.

In my Medical Assistanting class, I just can't grasp or get interested in it. In Med. Terminoly, I'm interested and I spend a lot more time studing for it. Wet Pants

tink Originally uploaded by HeatherScott.
I received this in an email.... An 'opportune' lesson for us all. Come with me to a third grade classroom.... There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are Wet. He thinks his heart is going to stop because he cannot possibly imagine how this has happened. It's never happened before, and he knows that when the boys find out he will never hear the end of it. When the girls find out, they'll never speak to him again as long as he lives. The boy believes his heart is going to stop, he puts his head down and prays this prayer, "Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes from now I'm dead meat." He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered. As the teacher is walking toward him, a classmate named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the boy's lap. The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is saying to himself, "Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!" Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful. But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been his has been transferred to someone else -Susie. She tries to help, but they tell her to get out. "You've done enough, you klutz!" Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers, "You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Susie whispers back, "I wet my pants once too." May God help us see the opportunities that are always around us to do good. Karen Berkebile

Dream Home Improvements

If money weren't an option, what would you do? I know what I would do...just a few ideas. A bigger shower, new flooring and carpeting through out the whole house. New windows. Cabinets and counter tops. There is this awesome site LuxuryHousingTrends.com that has some awesome ideas. I could redo my house from top to bottom with this site. I love the pictures of the faucets, I would so be in heaven. Even with all these ideas I think the new shower would be the first thing. Our shower is so small that you can barely shave your legs in it. I would make it huge, with shelves, and glass walls....oh the possibilities.

Think Pink

I told you guys I was going to post once a day some kind of reminder. So here it is. So many people are diagnosed each year with breast cancer and many of them don't make. But so many more are becoming survivors. On this site called Breast Cancer Victory one of those survivors tells her story. The ups and downs of having cancer. Its really uplifting. She has a positive attitude, but you can read how it affects her daily life. It is a must read. Like I said in my last post my grandmother has breast cancer. Notice I said has. Because she still has it. But it has not beaten her. I don't think it will. Breast Cancer is a terrible disease, but being aware helps us realize that more women are becoming stronger and beating this disease.. So make sure you check your breast ladies. Tell you everyone you know to do it. And remember for the rest of this month think PINK.!!!

Check your Boobs!!!

I hope everyone knows it National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!! If you dont you do now. I saw these cute little ducks on RockStarMommys blog and I figured this would be my reminder for the month. Its on my sidebar. So if you come here often...considered yourself reminded to check your boobs. Tell your sisters, your mothers, friends, and daughters. And dont forget your husbands. Yes men can get breast cancer too. My father had a scare a few months back and had to have a male mastectomy. It happens. So tell everyone. And once you've finished telling everyone, go check your own. I will post reminders....so no one forgets. Hopefully we're all doing this every month and not just this one....so take the few minutes. Be safe and be aware. Love to you all!!!!

Taking a break...

Before my brain explodes. Really!! All these medical terms are going to fry my brain. NO joke. Anyways I needed an excuse to look at new cameras. Its down to these two. This one from Best Buy and this one from Target. I think I'm leaning more toward the best buy one. Scott and I were looking at that one. Of course its 100 dollars cheaper, but it has alsorts of extras. Differant lighting features, video features. I will be able to take pictures in black and white. All kinds of fun stuff. We will be talking more about it in the next week. I will definately post with our desicion.

Our day at the park

Yesterterday Scott's best friend from high school called and said he had a four day weekend from AIT and he and his family were here visiting. And when the get the chance to visit we make it a point to do something with them. So we decided to go to the park with the kids. I dont know who had more fun, the kids or the 3 men or should I say big kids playing frisbee. It was like watching teenagers play. It was hilariaous. Tanner had fun. Ryan and his wife Crystal have 2 kids, Tyler who is 4 and Megan who is almost 3. I'm sure you can all guess who Tanner played with the most. Yep, Megan. They ran all over that park and when we moved to an opened base ball field so they had room to play frisbee...lets just say I've never seen Tanner run so much. He tried to play with the big boys. But he ended up back with the girl everytime. Me? I just had fun taking pictures. Speaking of which, I broke my camera. What am I going to do? I dropped while I was playing and the zoom button broke off, now it zooms in but it wont zoom out unless you turn it off. (Now I have an excuse to get a new one). We really did have a great day. We cleaned the house, and Scott got the grass cut. Tanner went to bed and stayed there again. He woke up about 6 tapped me on my arm and because I wanted to sleep in again...you know the story. But he slept until 930, I got up at 830. It gave me time to upload pictures and catch up on some reading. I'm getting Scott up at noon. So I have 3 hours of study time before he leaves. I have a test tomorrow. So I need the time....I'm almost wanted to ask his mom to keep him for a little while. We will see how that goes. Well I'm off. I'm going to clean the kitchen and start some laundry. Until later all.
